Now more than ever Coliban Ward needs a strong, independent voice to represent its vibrant, growing community to ensure that vital services and infrastructure are delivered for the benefit of the community in a fair and timely manner. This election presents an opportunity to use my skills, experience and energy to make a positive contribution as a strong, independent councillor. If elected I will represent all sectors of the community by listening, respecting and productively working with you, along with fellow councillors and Council staff, to represent your voice and to get things done.
Most of all I will work for you and represent your interests and needs as councillor. I will strive to ensure that council makes democratic, fair, evidence-based decisions after genuine, inclusive consultation with the community.
I am a director of CCCE Ltd., the company that operates Trentham & Districts Community Bank, and chair the committee of management of the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre (TNC).
My career has been in senior management, executive and chief finance officer positions within the water industry, a state government environmental agency and local government (as Finance Manager for Stonnington Council). I spent almost 5 years with the RBA’s banknote printing subsidiary NPA, where I blew the whistle on Australia’s largest foreign bribery case. To me integrity is an essential value.
I have financial, governance and risk management skills and experience.
I maintain an active and healthy lifestyle and believe this to be of high importance to people of all ages, especially youth. I am passionate about fairness, justice, respect & integrity, the environment & sustainability, education, health & aged care, the transparent, equitable & wise use of community resources (especially our rates!) and sport …and I know from listening to people they are important to you too.
